Contract gets new ECD

Kapil Mishra of Law & Kenneth will join the agency's Mumbai office; Delhi head Prashant Mathur quits.

Kapil Mishra, ex-Law & Kenneth hand, has been appointed as executive creative director (ECD) at Contract India's Mumbai office. While he will work on all clients pan India, he will especially concentrate on Mumbai and Delhi. Besides this, Mishra will work on various verticals such as advertising, iContract, Designsutra and Core Consulting.

Mishra was with Law & Kenneth for a short stint of six months in the role of executive creative director and nation creative resource. Earlier, he was with Leo Burnett as ECD (July, 2009-November, 2012). Mishra was also associated with Bates141 (now Bates CHI & Partners), JWT and Ogilvy & Mather.

During his 11 years of experience, Mishra has worked on brands including ITC personal care, Heinz Ketchup, Glucon-D, Dabur, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Godrej.

Meanwhile, in another development, Contract Delhi head Prashant Mathur has put in his papers. Confirming the news to afaqs!, Mathur says, "That's right. I put down my papers recently." However, Mathur refused to disclose his future plans. It is also not known who will replace him.

Mathur, who was in the role of executive vice-president and head of Contract Delhi, joined the agency's Gurgaon office in June, 2010, replacing Surajit Roy, who then led the Delhi operations. Some of the brands that he has worked with include Lava mobile, Domino's, Del Monte and Huawei.
