Vineet Trakroo resigns from Usha International as CMO

Vineet Trakroo, chief marketing officer at Usha International, has resigned from the company. Trakroo's next move is unknown. The company has, meanwhile, realigned its internal senior marketing resources to manage the marketing of its various business verticals. This move was effective from May 31.

Trakroo joined Usha from CavinKare in 2011 and has spent two years in the company. Earlier, he was associated with companies like CavinKare, Draftfcb Ulka, Beierdorf India and Pidilite.

Trakroo has 22 years of experience. Schooled at Jamnabai Narsee, Trakroo went on to study engineering at the Manipal Institute of Technology, after which he completed Masters degree in marketing management at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

Before CavinKare, he worked at Draftfcb Ulka Advertising as general manager; Trakroo was at the agency for a little over a year and managed part of the agency's Mumbai office; he headed some of its major clients such as Tata Indicom, TCS, LIC and Bajaj Consumer Care (Almond Drops).

Before joining Ulka, he worked as the head of sales and marketing, and as deputy general manager at Beiersdorf, before which he led the marketing function for brand Fevicol at Pidilite Industries.

Other companies that Trakroo has worked with earlier in his career include Ahmed Mills' Postman oils, ABB and Voltas.

Usha International Limited is a 75-year old consumer durables company with a turnover of more than Rs 2000 crore. The company has 16 location offices, 60 company showrooms, 34 warehouses and 200 service centres backed by an in-house customer call centre. Headquartered at Gurgaon, India, Usha has overseas offices in China and Sri Lanka. Usha exports its products to more than 30 countries. Products marketed under the Usha brand name include electrical appliances, fans, sewing machines, power products, water coolers and dispensers, inverters and auto components.
