France-based KRDS, a leading social media agency in Europe and Asia and a member of Facebook's Preferred Marketing Developer Program (PMD), has expanded in the country by opening of its new office in Mumbai. The agency, which already has Indian offices in Chennai, Bengaluru (production) and New-Delhi (commercial), currently employs over 80 employees in the country, and has brands such as Amway, Archies, Asian Paints, Facebook, CRY and Microsoft among its Indian clients.
Meanwhile, KRDS has appointed Achal Deoda as head of its Mumbai office. He will be in charge of new business development and expand KRDS's reach in India's commercial capital.
Deoda has earlier worked with HMV Saregama and STAR CJ Network.
KRDS, founded in 2008 in Paris, launched its India operations in 2009. The agency has been part of Facebook's Preferred Marketing Developer Program from its launch in Europe in 2010 and today specialises in Facebook application creation, Facebook Ads and Community Management.
KRDS has eight offices worldwide (Paris, Lyon, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Singapore and Shanghai).
Preetham Venkky, business head of KRDS Asia, says, "For the last two and a half years, KRDS has done extremely well in India. Our growth has exceeded 50 per cent and we've done so with just a commercial presence in Delhi. Our quick expansion has led us to wanting to get even closer to our clients, and with a new talent coming aboard, we saw this as the right time to open an office at the heart of advertising in India. We've managed to grow our expertise on mobile platforms as well, with native and hybrid application development teams. We are confident that our international digital knowledge will help many more Indian leading brands to shine on social networks."
The Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) Program is a community of hundreds of technology companies spread across 45+ countries. PMDs are the social experts at the forefront of helping marketers and advertisers establish and grow lasting connections with customers. PMDs build apps on Facebook, optimise social plug ins, manage ad campaigns, measure performance and develop effective marketing strategies for Facebook.First Published : July 02, 2013
