Care World TV to stream live content

The channel will soon be available on smartphones through apps that are compatible with all the important operating systems including Android, Windows and iOS.

Satellite healthcare television channel Care World TV has started streaming the television content live on its website. The channel has taken the next step to offer the content to the masses both online and offline.

The 24x7 healthcare channel disseminates information, news, views, documentaries and programmes on global health care live. According to the channel, its programmes are based on the four pillars of human development, viz, body, mind, beauty and soul.

Care World TV is also looking at offering the content on smartphones by launching apps that are compatible with all the important operating systems (OS) including Android, Windows and iOS."With eye-catching interface and easy functionality, the apps will cater to the premium market segment," says Ajit Gupta, managing director of Care World TV.

The apps will be available free to all users and will provide instant connectivity and access to Care World TV content. However, after one year the company plans to have a premium app with lots of immediate assistance to the patient. For which the pricing has not been decided yet.

The channel already has a YouTube feed wherein the shows of Care World TV can be viewed."YouTube has created a huge forum where billions of people connect and watch videos. We are trying to gather all our important shows at one place. Shemaroo has been our partner for the last three years and we both are trying to reach out to unknown territories through YouTube," Gupta adds.

According to Gupta, the channel bridges the gap between functionaries and beneficiaries. With a 24x7 presence on television and the web world, the channel provides various formats of programming that include awareness segments, talking heads, panel discussions, in depth reports, presentations, infomercials, audio visuals, documentaries, bulletins and campaigns in both fiction and non-fiction formats.

The channel is looking at targeting of 20-35 years' old primarily, however as per their subject they have experienced varied age groups picking up content which suits and interests them.

For the record, Care World TV has successfully completed six years of disseminating health related information to the masses, thus bridging the gap between the functionary and the beneficiary. The channel features shows with content that focuses on trends, developments and research conducted in the field of health and wellness. The programmes cover all aspects of health and well-being, including disease prevention, health promotion and quality of living.
