Till now, Sachin Tendulkar has played a wonderful innings with brands. As he goes off the field, it will be interesting to see how he shapes his second innings with brands.

Sachin Tendulkar is not just God to cricket lovers across India but also one of the most loved sportspersons when it comes to endorsements. The Master Blaster has played a long innings with several major brands across categories such as sports, FMCG, batteries and inverters, insurance and others.

Some of the brands Tendulkar has been seen endorsing include Coca-Cola, Adidas, Toshiba, Boost, Canon, Visa, Aviva Life Insurance and Band-Aid. He has also been featured in the list of world's highest paid athletes.

Beginning at a very young age of 16, his 24-year cricketing career started in 1989 and will culminate in his 200th match on November 14 at Wankhede Stadium against West Indies. Ever since rumours of his retirement began surfacing, marketers have speculated about the fate of his relationship with brands.

In a recent report, the MSL Group finds what brand Sachin Tendulkar means, the brands he currently endorses and the opportunities that lie ahead for brands after the icon is off the field.
