Viral Now: iPhone's twist in the tale

It's not an uncommon scene in a family gathering, be it in India or abroad, when teenagers are found immersed in their cell phones, smiling. The elders may scold them and nag them about the importance of enjoying with the family and relatives, but the young mind dwells where it wants to.

The iPhone TVC

Initially, the video, a television commercial of electronics giant Apple, gives one the impression of just another teenager in love with his phone. Almost predictably, the video progresses to narrate the near-familiar tale of a teenager not involved in the current situation and completely engrossed in his phone, while the other members of the family make a snowman, decorate the tree and kiss and hug each other. The twist comes at the end.

In a pleasant and emotional surprise, the boy presents on the TV screen a video that he has been working on, on his iPhone 5S, all this while. The video captures all the heart-touching events of the family and is weaved together with a pleasant music. The 90-second punch is named 'Misunderstood' and you know why as soon as this surprise opens up.

The video also subtly explains the striking features of the phone, such as the camera quality, iMovie software and the AirPlay connectivity.

If one ignores the obvious implication of the youth being hooked to their gadgets instead of enjoying the moment, the amazing video serves its purpose to grab attention and bring out the features of the phone.

The video has gained over 3.1 million views since it was uploaded on December, 16.
