Star Plus has scored 579000 GVTs, up from previous week's 561000 GVTs. Six shows of the channel could make it to the top ten most watched shows' list.

According to TAM data provided by a subscriber (C&S 4+, HSM), Colors has moved to the second spot, garnering 449000 GVTs - a few points downswing over its previous week's ratings. Comedy Nights With Kapil, the channel's flagship stand up comedy show, was listed in the top ten shows' list.

Zee TV slipped to No. 3 owing to the loss of 41000 GVTs over the last week. The channel acquired 439000 GVTs, down from 480000 GVTs in the last week. Two of the channel's shows appeared among the most watched shows.

Life OK continues to be at No. 4, despite a drop in its numbers from 325000 GVTs to the current 313000 GVTs. None of the shows of the channel made it to the top shows' list in Week 50.

SAB TV remains ahead of its sibling GEC, growing significantly in numbers. The channel gained 30000 GVTs in the week to clock 291000 GVTs. The channel's flagship show, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, appeared in the top shows' list.

Sony remained at No. 6, adding 25000 GVTs (from 241000 GVTs in Week 49) to reach 267000 GVTs in Week 50.

Sahara One garnered 36000 GVTs.

All the shows are listed as per their peak TVTs in the week between December 8 and December 14.

Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking 12100 TVTs, followed by Zee TV's 'historical' love-story Jodha Akbar and SAB TV's flagship show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma with 10900 TVTs and 9300 TVTs, respectively.

Meanwhile, Star PLus' four other shows listed at the next four consecutive positions. These were Saathiya Saath Nibhana (9100 TVTs), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (8300 TVTs), Mahabharat (8000 TVTs) and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai (7500 TVTs).

At the eighth spot was Colors' Comedy Nights With Kapil with 7400 TVTs, followed by Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke with 6800 TVTs.

Last in the list was Saraswatichandra, Star Plus' much hyped property which has re-entered the list of top ten shows with 6700 TVTs.

For the record, the figures mentioned are approximate TVT figures. TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is the average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
