In his new capacity, Vishal will look into the content part of the channel. He adds, "I will largely take care of the content and packaging of the channel. But there will be conversations (contributions) in other departments, too." It must be noted that Vishal is quite active on the social media.
afaqs! had reported that the channel appointed a new CEO, S K (Raj) Barua. Vishal was working as an independent creative consultant and has worked on Food Food for a repositioning campaign.
Barua says, "Vaibhav spearheaded the new repositioning campaign for the channel and we are confident that through the new shows, he has clearly articulated the brand vision and desired positioning to lead the network into the next level."
Vishal, an MBA in advertising and communications management from Narsee Monjee Institute, started his career in advertising in 1998 with Ambience D'Arcy (Publicis Ambience) as account manager. He moved to MTV in 2000 as director, marketing and was appointed director, programme development in 2007.
He left MTV Network in 2010 as AVP, creative and content. He worked as national creative head at Red FM for a very short stint, before becoming an independent creative consultant for brands with Helios Media.
