Radio Mirchi, the radio station network from Entertainment Network India (ENIL), has been signed as the official radio partner of Hockey India League.
With the new tie-up, Radio Mirchi aims at recreating the on-ground excitement of the tournament on-air, exclusively for its listeners. The station will provide its listeners opportunities throughout the tournament to connect to their favourite players. The radio broadcaster also intends to catch the stadium excitement. There will be live analysis of the event along with the players' pre-game, post-game and intermission reports. A few lucky listeners may also get a chance to win passes to the tournament.

The inaugural Hero Hockey India League will be held from January 25 to February 23, involving six teams - Delhi Waveriders, Jaypee Punjab Warriors, Uttar Pradesh Wizards, Mumbai Magicians, Kalinga Lancers and Ranchi Rhinos. The teams will compete in the inaugural season at six venues across Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Ranchi, Uttar Pradesh and Bhubaneswar, respectively.
Launched in 2001, Radio Mirchi is also famous for the Purani Jeans Film Festival and the Mirchi Music Awards. Radio Mirchi made its international foray with the launch of the brand in the UAE. Claimed to be the first Indian radio brand to go international, Radio Mirchi airs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
