McCann Erickson bags six metals at Olive Crown Awards 2014

The agency bagged four gold and two silver metals. Dentsu won three awards, while DDB Mudra, FCB Ulka Advertising and Team HUL won two awards each.

The fourth edition of the IAA Olive Crown Awards organised the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) was held on March 14 in Mumbai, at the Palladium Hotel in Lower Parel. A total of 19 awards were distributed.

The IAA introduced a new award, the Corporate Social Crusader of the Year award that was given away for the most outstanding CSR initiative by a corporate body.

McCann Erickson led the tally with a total of six awards including four gold and two silver metals. It bagged gold metals for Press Corporate, OOH, Campaign of the Year and Green Agency of the Year categories for the campaigns Bumper, Disposable and Wake Up Clean Up.

The agency won silver awards in Press Services and TVC/Cinema Unreleased categories for the campaigns World War and Fish.

Dentsu followed McCann and walked away with three silver awards. It won awards in TVC/Cinema - Corporate, Events and Campaign of the Year categories for its Your Cartons My Classrooms campaign.

DDB Mudra won one gold and one silver award. It won silver for Green Brand of the Year for its campaign Help Desk, and the gold for Young Green Art Director of the Year, bagged by Sanuree Gomes.

FCB Ulka Advertising won two silver awards in the Press Corporate and Print Production categories for its campaigns, Tiger/Gorilla and The Tree Story.

Team HUL won two gold awards for its Project Sunlight launch campaign in Green Brand of the Year and Corporate Social Crusader of the Year categories.

Amit Thakur of Leo Burnett bagged the silver award in the Young Green Art Director of the Year category for the campaign, Good Paper Project.

The other winners for the night were Niche Minds (TVC Cinema Corporate category) for its campaign, We Live in a Blue Planet. FoxyMoron won a silver award in Digital for Power Light a Village campaign. Webchutney won a gold in the same category for its Mr Wasted Bin campaign.

Touchstone Advertising and Marketing Services won a silver award for its OOH campaign, Asha.

Mathrubhumi won a gold for its campaign, Seed, in the Corporate Social Crusader of the Year category. BBMP, a Karnataka state government agency, won gold in the Green Advertiser of the Year category.

The 'Green Partners' for the Olive Crown awards were Hungama.com and the Patrika Group. The banking partner was Yes Bank. 9XM was the presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year.

The Olive Crowns are Asia's first and only awards that salute excellence in communicating sustainability. Endorsed by the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA), the awards recognise and celebrate 'Green advertising'.
