Brand Owner's Summit set to captivate Kolkata

The fourth edition of the summit will be held on March 22 in Kolkata at The Williamson Magor.

After successful runs in Chennai and Ahmedabad, the fourth edition of Brand Owner's Summit is all set to enthral Kolkata, where again brand owners, entrepreneurs and marketers will meet to share their knowledge and experiences on how to grow and nurture a brand. The event, organised by afaqs!, will take place on March 22 at The Williamson Magor.

Some of the prominent speakers at the event will be Bickram Ghosh, founder, Rythmscape; Arijit Datta, MD, Priya Entertainment; Ritum Jain, MD, Safed Detergents; S Ramani of 6 Ballygunge Place; Sitanshu Jhunjhunwalla, director, Turtle; SB De, MD, Sreeleathers; Deepak Jalan, MD, Linc Pens; Sanjay Aggarwal, executive director, Joy Cosmetics; R K Sharma of Baidyanath; Ashok Banerjee, professor, IIM Calcutta; S Mazumder, vice-chairman, TIL; P Agarwal, director, Blue and Blues; Pradip Chopra, MD, PS Group; Bimal Patwari, MD, Pinnacle Infotech Solutions; Rajiv Dingra, CEO, WATConsult; Nishant Nair, head, strategy and regional director, south, Surewaves Media Tech; N Swaroop, director, Paharpur Cooling Towers; L S Krishnan, Amagi; S Goenka, MD, Premier Foundations; Supriyo Sinha, VP, ABP; and Alok Roy, chairman, Medica.

The one-day event will begin with sessions on White Paper of Marketing, Leading the market through innovations and The 'Joy' lies in Beauty. They will be presented individually by the speakers. The sessions will be followed by a discussion on 'Digital is the Future', and sessions by representatives from Sreeleathers, Turtle and Blue and Blues.

Post lunch, the first session will be on national television for local advertisers, followed by representatives from Medica Hospitals, Pinnacle Infotech and 6 Ballygunge Place, respectively, presenting sessions on 'Bringing global health care to Kolkata', 'The global leader in BIM Services from Durgapur' and '6 Ballygunge is an address in Kolkata, Bengaluru and London'.

The next session on creating waves for advertisers will be addressed by Surewaves. Later, representatives from Century Ply, Paharpur Cooling Towers and Premier Technology will address a few sessions.

ABP will present its story on Brands which built 'Brands of Bengal'. In the final session before the vote of thanks, Rythmscape, Priya Entertainment and PS Group will interact with the audiences while they present their stories on 'Brands are built on continuous innovation', 'Cinema is a story of resilience' and 'Luxury marketing is all about creating a dream', respectively.

Brand Owner's Summit will focus on learning 'Branding Truths' from the vast experience and knowledge of professionals who have successfully added value to their respective ideas and business ventures through branding.

Advertising Club of Kolkata has partnered the event, while Amagi Media Labs is the targeted TV partner. It is supported by ABP, with Surewaves as the reach partner and WATConsult as the digital media partner. Aidias is the consulting partner, Park Plaza is the hospitality partner and 92.7 Big FM is the radio partner.

The first leg of the summit was held in Ahmedabad in February, 2013, where some of the big names from the industry assembled, including Piruz Khambatta (Rasna), Darshan Patel (Vinni), Achal Bakeri (Symphony), R S Sodhi (Amul), Vishal Mehta (InfiBeam), Ganesh Nayak (Zydus Cadila), Anghshu Mallick (Adani Wilmar), Jitendra Chauhan (Jade Blue), Santosh Desai (Future Brands) and Mahesh Murthy (SeedFund).

It was followed by an event in Chennai (2013) and again in Ahmedabad (2014).
