POMP runs a classical music channel called Insync in the broadcasting space, and is expected to launch a few new channels in the near future.

In his new role, Parikh will report to Ratish Tagde, managing director, POMPL and be based in Mumbai.

Being a part of the group company, Parikh is responsible for the revenue and marketing of group company ventures. As part of the POMPL ecosystem, his mandate is to create, curate and build appetite of Indian music content, with consumers, sponsors, artistes and trade at large.

On his appointment, Tagde says, "Dharit has a good grasp about the media industry, especially with regard to the planning and marketing aspects and I am sure that this association will help drive the Perfect-Octave business into virgin and untapped digital/non-digital national/international markets in the variety of Indian music genres."

"Perfect Octave Media Projects Limited being in the business of building an Indian music ecosystem is on an aggressive growth plan. Over the past year it has challenged the status quo by launching free-to-air Indian music television channel, Insync. Joining it is going to enhance my skills in broadcasting and media business," Parikh says.

On his journey with GroupM's Mindshare, he adds, "GroupM is an institute for me, being my first step into the media world. My 6.5-year spell with the group taught me to be detail-oriented and imparted tremendous knowledge and expertise."

At Mindshare, Parikh handled clients like HSBC, Kelloggs, Castrol, Bridgestone, Merck Pharma, ICICI, Godrej Appliances, Godrej Interio, Idea, Star TV, HPCL and Hindalco.

He was consulting with the POMP group for a month before being formally appointed as business head, sales and marketing. According to him, the Indian broadcasting industry is becoming content-driven. "Insync, which is a music lifestyle channel, will sustain its growth plan but to fuel content for the channel and our partnered digital platforms, we will create our own content via live experiences, thereby providing a complete 360 degree solution in the Indian music space."

A sales and marketing professional, Parikh brings to the table more than 13 years of experience. Before joining Mindshare, he has worked with Grips Proevents (as assistant manager - client servicing), AIM's International (as senior executive, client servicing), Candid Marketing Solutions and Wizcraft International Entertainment.
