GEC Watch: SAB gains marginally as others lose

The viewership of the Hindi GEC genre has taken a hit because of the IPL. The ratings of all channels but SAB TV have dropped.

The seventh edition of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) seems to have impacted the viewership of the Hindi general entertainment genre as all channels except SAB TV (that gained marginally) have seen a dip in numbers.

For the record, TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is the average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
