Big FM appoints Ajit Singh as national sales head

Reliance Broadcast Network has appointed Ajit Singh as national sales head, SME. Singh will spearhead the sales function with SME clients across the radio and TV businesses.

A B Com Hons graduate from Delhi University and a post graduate in Management from Amity Business School, he has had a distinguished career having worked with prestigious brands in the banking and insurance sector, including ICICI Prudential, ABN Amro Bank and IndusInd bank.

He moves from IndusInd Bank, where he was deputy vice-president and business manager, new branch distribution.

Commenting on his appointment, Ashwin Padmanabhan, national business head, 92.7 Big FM, Reliance Broadcast Network, says, "Ajit Singh brings to the organisation a keen sense of setting up and operationalising new businesses; we are confident that under his leadership the SME vertical will flourish and grow."

Singh says, "I believe the media and entertainment industry will grow at a good pace and there will be immense opportunities for learning and growth during my stint here. My agenda will be to build the company's respectability and partnership with new and existing SME clients, while making the brand experience more enjoyable. I am looking forward to carrying forward the fantastic work at Reliance Broadcast Network."

Reliance Broadcast Network is a media and entertainment company with interests in radio, television and television production. Some of its brands are 92.7 Big FM with 45 stations; Big Magic - Hindi general entertainment channel; Big Magic Bihar & Jharkhand, a channel with local content tailored for the region; Big Magic International, a channel targeted at the Indian diaspora in the US and Canada; Big RTL Thrill, an action entertainment channel from the company's joint venture with Europe's RTL Group.
