ENIL's Radio Mirchi has promoted Prashant Panday, executive director and CEO, as MD and CEO.
In his new role, Panday will continue to spearhead the team in maintaining Radio Mirchi's leadership position in the country.
Panday says, "My responsibilities will be the same as they were previously. We have aggressive plans for phase III, phase II renewals, phase IV, digital, international and everything! The best of radio is still to come. The next five years will be exciting and rewarding for all team members."
Panday will report to the board members along with Ravi Dhariwal, CEO, BCCL and Vineet Jain, MD, BCCL.
Over the past 14 years, Panday has been able to take Radio Mirchi to an enviable position with revenues of Rs 385 crore and PAT of Rs 84 crore in the 2013-14.
An engineering graduate in Electronics & Communications and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Panday has been associated with the company since August, 2000. He began his career in 1991 as an associate AD with Mudra Communications.
He has a total of 24 years of experience in industries ranging from Advertising, Banking, FMCG & Media. He has also worked with Citibank, Pepsi, HUL, Mudra and Modi Revlon. His areas of strength include marketing and sales, analytics and strategy and people management. He also served as a member of the Ministry of I&B's committee on fighting piracy. He is a speaker at various industry forums.
For the record, Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL)-owned Radio Mirchi operates across 32 cities in the country. It was launched in 2001.First Published : September 25, 2014 04:04 PM
