Saugata Bagchi joins Quasar as regional head, West and South

Quasar Media, a full service digital agency (part of the WPP Group), has appointed Saugata Bagchi as regional head, West and South. Bagchi will report to Gaurav Nabh, business head, Quasar and will be based in Mumbai.

He was instrumental in establishing the agency as the digital agency of record for prestigious clients including Hindustan Unilever, Emirates and McDonalds, and developing the agency's technology, social media and digital analytics skill sets.

With his experience in sales, marketing and advertising across FMCG, media and entertainment, insurance, healthcare and automotive over the last 12 years, Bagchi looks at marketing challenges in a media-agnostic manner and strives for solutions which are conducive to the chosen media.

Speaking on the appointment, Nabh says, "Saugata is a born leader taking on challenges head on, something that he has demonstrated repeatedly across all his assignments. He brings with him a lot of experience and knowledge of consumers, and the ability to engage and delight them online, something that our clients will benefit from immensely.
