At Dish TV, he will focus on consolidating the company's presence in the market, while strengthening the organisational capabilities within the company. About his move, Bajpai says in a press note, "Dish TV has been one of the great success stories in India's DTH business and has pioneered the democratisation of technology for the masses by addressing specific consumer needs with constant innovations. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for me to lead Dish TV into its next phase of growth by consolidating and strengthening its position in India, and looking at global markets to complete its transition of becoming a global force to reckon with."
He has 14 years of experience in the areas of brand development, strategic marketing, consumer reach and analytics, across segments such as telecom and retail. Prior to joining Tata Docomo, Bajpai worked with Spice Hotspot, a mobility retail chain with a pan-India footprint, as head of marketing. He has also worked with Bharti Airtel as deputy general manager, brand, where he played a role in the planning and implementing the business launch of Telemedia (Consumer Broadband, IPTV and DTH) across India.
He also worked at Idea Cellular, where he was involved in the implementation of the brand's advertising and communication campaigns.
