Vh1 launches mobile app

The app will provide information such as the best gigs taking place around town, celebrity gossip, regular entertainment news, VH1's top music charts and more.

Vh1, a destination for international entertainment, is set to step out of television sets and go mobile with the launch of Vh1 Mobile-app. Smartphone users now have the opportunity to tune in to international entertainment as well as their favourite content from the channel while in transit.

The launch of Vh1 Mobile App makes the best of English entertainment and international content available for Free on iOS, Android, Windows as well as Nokia X series, customized for both, mobile and tablet users.

The Vh1 mobile-app gives music-enthusiasts a chance to experience Vh1 on the go by making videos and episodes of shows airing on the channel, available on the website. Apart from music and videos, the mobile-app also links users to featured articles and live twitter feeds by their favourite artistes, making all important music-related information available on one page. The app will additionally provide information such as the best of gigs taking place around town, gripping celebrity gossip, regular entertainment news, VH1's top music charts and much more.

Vh1 is a 24-hour International entertainment channel that provides viewers with their daily dose of international music, Hollywood, Pop culture and Lifestyle. Vh1 is a part of Viacom 18, a 50-50 joint venture between Viacom & TV 18. Since its inception in January, 2005, Vh1 has grown tremendously reaching over 75 million people in India.

Vh1 India has grown the English music audience by 180 per cent in the last 5 years alone.
