NewsX appoints Gautam Bhanot as national revenue head

ITV Network has appointed Gautam Bhanot as national revenue head for its news channel, NewsX. In this role, Bhanot will be responsible for the overall sales and revenue generation of the channel. He will focus on growing the topline, while creating new revenue streams and opportunities and significantly contributing to the overall growth of the ITV Network.

His last stint was with CNN-IBN as its national sales head. "Gautam brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will be invaluable in unlocking the potential value of Brand NewsX," says Kartikeya Sharma, MD, ITV Network, "I am confident that Gautam with his in depth understanding of media sales combined with his dynamism and leadership as a sales professional will be a great asset to the organisation."

Bhanot is a media professional with more than 16 years experience in revenue maximisation, inventory management and market development. He joins NewsX from Network18 after a 9-year innings. Prior to this, he was vice president - sales, heading revenue generation for CNN-IBN, CNBC-TV18 and CNBC-AWAAZ, for the North region. He has also worked with The Times of India, Economic Times and the Tej Bandhu Group. Bhanot is a commerce graduate and holds an MBA degree with specialisation in marketing.
