The Advertising Club will be hosting Mark D'Arcy, London-based chief creative officer, Facebook Creative Shop, on Tuesday, October 28, at an event in Mumbai.
The Creative Shop, previously known as Global Creative Solutions, is Facebook's creative arm that helps brands and agencies with their marketing solutions.
D'Arcy worked as a writer and chief creative officer in advertising and media, before joining Facebook in 2011, to better explore the creative potential of the platform. He is the founder of Facebook Creative Council, which provides Facebook with ideas on how engaging and educating the global creative community.
D'Arcy, who started his career in New Zealand, has also worked at Time Warner (media and entertainment firm) in New York as chief creative officer of its Global Media Group. In 2009, he was named president of the group and senior vice president of Time Warner.
He spent 17 years of his career in New York, before shifting to London, where he is currently based.
D'Arcy has been widely recognised for his creativity and leadership in the creative industries and regularly speaks all around the world on the subject of creativity in social media, the transformation of marketing, the communication arts and the role and purpose of brands in society.
He has served as juror on numerous international awards shows including Clio, Lia, International Andy and Cannes Lions.
The event will be held at Hotel Palladium, Lower Parel, Mumbai.
