The first show of this trilogy is called 'Maharakshak Aryan', a story that will showcase the triumph of good over evil. It is slated to be launched on November 1. It will be aired on Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm.

Aryan, the protagonist, is an unassuming boy-next-door who is oblivious to the larger-than-life plans destiny has in store for him. According to the channel, the show is a gripping narrative of coming-of-age and a walk into the darker realms of fantasy, where a hero will face his worst fears, rewrite destiny and emerge a winner.

The role of Aryan will be played by debutant actor Aakarshan Singh. The antagonist, a character called Triloki, will be played by actor Vikramjeet Virk.

Triloki is trapped in the center of the earth, under various layers, surrounded by molten lava. He wants to bounce back to power and rule the world. His allies Vishkanya (played by Reshmi Ghosh), Challa (played by Mishal Raheja) and Kumbha (played by Deepak Bhatia) will help him in his quest.

Pradeep Hejmadi, business head, Zee TV, says, "The series is a part of our weekend family unifier strategy. With shows like Neeli Chhatri Wale, Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale and now Maharakshak Aryan, we're fortifying our weekend line-up with content that engages every family member."

Namit Sharma, programming head, Zee TV, says, "This is one of our most ambitious projects and aims to set a benchmark in the fiction thriller genre. The show captures the boy's journey from an average teenager to discovering a hero within. It is the story of true heroism..."

Akash Chawla, business head of Zeel's creative and production studio, Essel Vision (EVPL), feels Indian audiences have not seen an original superhero series for a fairly long time. He says, "The show, with its slick production values, innovative visual effects and ingenious cinematography, will raise the bar for action thrillers and the fantasy genre on Indian television."

Omung Kumar has been roped in for production design. Hardik Gajja has been brought on board as designer for the graphics of the show. Majid Khan is the creative producer.
