Avinav Chaubey joins Tata Motors Finance

He moves from The Muthoot Group after a stint of nine years.

Avinav Chaubey has joined Tata Motors Finance as associate vice president, marketing. In his new role he will be looking after marketing activity, uplifting recall value, awareness and other aspects of brand.

He moves from The Muthoot Group, where he was last serving as assistant general manager, marketing. Chaubey has over 12 years of experience and has spent more than nine years at The Muthoot Group. He joined the group in December 2005.

At Muthoot, his responsibilities included brand management, marketing communication, corporate communication, strategic brand alliances, marketing and promotional initiatives, corporate social responsibility, annual marketing strategy and budget and agency and vendor management. Prior to that, he was manager, events at AMGF Intercorp, and assistant manager, events and exhibitions, Fairfest Media.

Tata Motors Finance commenced operations in June 2003. This was a common front-end, jointly formed by BHPC (Bureau for Hire Purchase and Credit) of Tata Motors and the asset-financing arm of the erstwhile Tata Finance. The company's role was to exclusively finance Tata Motors vehicles. Subsequently, it was merged with Tata Motors and in April 2005 TMF became a division of Tata Motors. Till date, it has financed over two million customers.
