Network18 has roped in former Bennett Coleman & Co director AP Parigi as CEO. He will be based in Mumbai. Parigi was with the Times of India Group for over 14 years. He was a director and one of the board members too.

Commenting on his appointment as CEO, Adil Zainulbhai, chairman, Network18, says, "Parigi has built a raft of customer-facing brands, technologies, businesses and management teams. His wisdom and leadership is sure to take N18 to the next level."

An industry veteran, Parigi has over 40 years of experience across sectors including telecom, media and entertainment. He is credited with the Times of India Group's foray into the radio and OOH media businesses. He served as the managing director and CEO of ENIL/Radio Mirchi.

Under his leadership, the company says, brand Radio Mirchi emerged as one of India's largest private FM radio networks, with a daily listenership of well over 25 million. In his stint with the Times of India, Parigi also served an independent director, Times Global Broadcasting (Times Now and Zoom) - the television arm of TOI. In addition, Parigi did oversee the group's businesses in the internet space, specifically related to Times Internet and Times Business Solutions.

Prior to joining BCCL, Parigi held many senior level positions such as CEO of BPL Mobile Communications (a joint venture with France Telecom), Mumbai. He has also worked with Eros Media. Parigi is an alumnus of the Delhi School of Economics, and holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
