In-Store Asia, among the leading convention and exhibition events for the retail industry in India, kicks off its 9th edition in Mumbai on Feb 5-7 this year.
If you ever wanted to get a side view of the way retail has changed, and is set to change in India, then you will do well to plan a visit to In Store Asia 2015. Organised by Thought Shows & Events, the event has been one of the few quality platforms for the industry over the years, to showcase the best of retail and listen to a quality line-up of experts.
Additionally, In-store Asia has a special line up of workshops targeted at specific verticals like Retail Jewellery by the co-founders of Luxury Connect, and one for Independent, Regional Retailers hosted by Ektaa Agarwal, creative director at Landor.
For the VM (Visual Merchandising) segment, this year the Convention at In-Store Asia 2015 will conclude with a one-of-a-kind live window display contest called VM Challenge. Visual merchandisers from different firms will team-up to compete in a contest that tests their out-of-the-box creativity, capabilities to build story boards quickly, project detailing and meticulous project execution. One can look forward to some eye-popping ideas here.
As always, the expo will also have the keenly contested VM and RD Retail Design awards, being held on Feb 6 this year. The jury this year, with a high global quotient ensures that judging is set to very high benchmarks, and the winners will have a reason to be truly proud of their work.
For Vasant Jante, managing director, Thought Shows & Events, the changes in the ninth edition couldn't have been better timed. "The ninth edition of In-Store Asia is being organised at a time when the retail industry is undergoing unprecedented changes. The In-Store Asia 2015 Conference has an impressive line-up of thought-provoking presentations and panel discussions on the way forward for the industry, and the Expo will showcase cutting-edge retail design solutions.
This year we have also planned an innovative Material Lounge, and a contest for the best designed POP (point of purchase) displays, apart from the popular VM Challenge. I am confident that the In-Store Asia show will turn a new leaf this year with high level participation and serve the industry for years to come."
