The company hopes to select an agency by early next month and roll out a brand campaign in April 2015.
Online travel company MakeMyTrip.com is on the lookout for a creative agency which will help increase category and brand penetration amongst non-users and bring in new users to the platform.
"The last few quarters have corroborated our belief that online travel is at the cusp of exponential growth, and we are looking to partner with an agency that is able to support us in unlocking the growth potential of online travel through a combination of out-of-the-box thinking and strategic approach to category creation," says Saujanya Shrivastava, CMO, MakeMyTrip.com.
It will be considered a plus point if the agency has prior experience of handling travel and e-commerce brands, provided there is no conflict of interest. The company will announce the selected agency by the first week of March and launch the creative in April 2015.
MakeMyTrip was launched in September 2005 as the first comprehensive travel website enabling real-time booking for flights. Over time, the website has evolved into a full-service portal extending its offerings to online hotel reservations, holiday-package bookings, and rail & bus ticket bookings. The website claims to have received an average of over 8.3 million unique visitors per month in fiscal year 2014. The company claims to have over 5.5 million app downloads across platforms (iOS, Android, Windows & Blackberry).
