Zee Khana Khazana appoints Srikant Malladi as head, Programming

Previously, he was head of Entertainment (non-fiction) at Colosceum Media.

Zee Khana Khazana, a 24-hour food channel, has appointed Srikant Malladi as head of Programming. He joins Zee Khana Khazana from Colosceum Media where he was the head of Entertainment (non-fiction).

Malladi comes with over 14 years of diverse media experience - web journalism, films (Bollywood & Hollywood) and television, in various roles. In the last eight years, he has focussed and specialised in large-format, prime-time, non-fiction shows for a variety of Indian broadcasters.

He started his career with dhadkan.com, an Indian music website, in 2000, as a features writer and later became the editor. With a wide range of experience as an assistant director to post production manager, he has worked with both Bollywood and Hollywood production houses. He has even directed three documentaries on girl child education with Rahul Bose (actor) as a freelance media professional.

Malladi joined Midi Tech India in 2006 as an associate creative director (non-fiction) for shows like 'Lead India' (Star One), 'K for Kishore' (Sony) and 'Acting Ki Funshala' (Sab TV). With an expertise in non-fiction shows, he joined Colosceum Media in 2007 as supervising producer and eventually moved up the ladder to become head of development. He then got appointed as the head of Entertainment (non-fiction).

At Colosceum Media, where he spent over seven years, he was part of several mainstream non-fiction shows like 'Covershot 2: Mission North East', 'Roadies X1', 'Jaanbaaz', 'MasterChef Junior' (Star Plus) and 'MasterChef India'.

Malladi holds an MA degree in English from the University of Delhi.
