Perfectly timed for Valentine's day, Ford Motor Company's video prank promotes its new 2015 Mustang.
Love is certainly in the air, and, for Ford Motor Company, on the tracks too. In its new video, unsuspecting men are 'pranked' on their first date. Ford sets up men with an undercover stunt driver as their date in the 'Speed Dating' campaign, as a Valentine's Day special.
The film starts with the lady meeting the men at different spots and then inviting them for a ride in her new Mustang. While she plays the coy little lady and pretends to not know 'how to drive a stick', the men come up with advices and comments. Some even ask her to let them drive. However, they are soon left embarrassed as she takes one crazy swift turn after another, maneuvering the car as only a stunt driver can - all at top speed. While many of the men have condescending comments on her driving skills at first, they all change their attitude once she picks up speed. The men are then told the truth about the hidden cameras in the car which has captured their expressions.
According to the website Car and Driver, the video was made by a Detroit-based production agency, The Work. The video, which was put up on YouTube on February 6, has received over three million views so far.
