Dentsu Communications appoints Vipul Thakkar as NCD

He moves in from DDB Mudra Group.

Dentsu India Group has appointed Vipul Thakkar as national creative director, Dentsu Communications. He joins the agency from DDB Mudra where he was creative head- South & East.

In the new role, Thakkar will be the creative leader of Dentsu Communications and will work towards strengthening the agency's southern network and expanding the Mumbai operations.

With over 19 years of experience, Thakkar has worked in agencies across Mumbai, Bengaluru and Egypt. At DDB Mudra Group, he has created work for accounts like Royal Challenge, McDowell's No.1, TTK Prestige, Peter England and Joy Alukkas. Prior to DDB Mudra, he worked with Ogilvy Bangalore, where he was handling ITC Bingo, Sunfeast Yippee, Allen Solly, MTR and Titan watches.

During his career, he has been bestowed with over 40 metals at Abby's, in both print and TV categories, besides the coveted AsiaPacAdfest, a Spikes and a Kancil. He has also won the Olive Crown Award, The Agency of the Year at The Cochin Advertising Club's Pepper Awards and over two dozen metals at The Bangalore Advertising Club's Big Bang Awards.
