Melon Media strengthens its team

It has roped in talent from Madison and Allied Media.

Melon Media, the media specialist agency from Crayons Communication Group, has roped in G Venkatesh as associate vice president and national buying head. He has moved from Madison and brings with him over 20 years of media buying experience, having worked for clients like Max Life Insurance, BBC, Aircel and Voltas, to name a few.

Venkatesh will be based in Delhi and will be responsible for driving the overall buying efficiency across the countrywide network of Melon. He started his career in 1990 and has worked across agencies such as TBWA, McCann, Anthem Comm, Starcom, MPG and Dentsu.

The agency has also roped in Kailash R Shirsat as associate media director, planning. He has also moved from Madison and will be based out of Mumbai.

He has over 12 years of experience and has worked at several agencies including Starcom, Carat, Prachar and Madison. He brings cross-market and cross-discipline thinking to his role, and is always pushing the team for better performance. He has over a decade of experience and has worked for clients like Indian Oil, Jyoti Laboratories and ABN Amro.

In a bid to strengthen its media planning and strategy, the agency has appointed Minakshi Tembhre as media supervisor, planning. She has moved to Melon from Allied Media and is based in Delhi.

Melon Media, headed by Indranil Datta, COO, is a full-service media agency that offers services in media research, media planning, media buying and media release. The main objective of Melon is to expand the brand's advertising horizons towards suitable media platforms.
