Nikon India appoints Kazuo Ninomiya as managing director

He will be based out of the company's Gurgaon office.

Nikon India has appointed Kazuo Ninomiya as the managing director effective June 15. He was earlier the general manager, International Planning Division of Nikon Singapore. Based out of company's Gurgaon office, Ninomiya takes over the responsibilities from Hiroshi Takashina who will now be managing Nikon's China business operations.

Having contributed to Nikon India's growth for almost seven years now, Hiroshi Takashina looks back with a sense of achievement and hopes that Nikon will carry on the good work. "I joined Nikon India in 2008 and it has been an incredible journey for me. With Nikon I have had the opportunity to build and work with an excellent team that supported me overcome numerous business challenges and in recording massive growth for Nikon in India. Kazuo brings extraordinary leadership skills on the table. I wish him the very best and I am absolutely confident that he will continue adding more feathers to the story."

Commenting on his appointment, Ninomiya states, "I am deeply honoured to have this opportunity to lead Nikon's India business operations and look forward to expanding on the strong footprint that we have built under Mr. Takashina's leadership."

Ninomiya is a seasoned corporate executive and an old hand at Nikon, handling the business operations in Asian markets for almost three years. He has worked in the Indian market in an earlier job and is well versed with the diverse culture that the country offers.

Nikon India distributes markets and services the complete range of Nikon imaging products. With offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Delhi and Gurgaon, Nikon is strengthening its sales & services network across India. The company has established a total of five Nikon owned service centers (5 Branches), 32 ASCs (authorized service centres), 62 Nikon collection centers and has a dealer base of over 3,000.
