Viacom18 has announced that its new English entertainment channel, Colors Infinity, will hit television screens on July 31. The channel will be available across all major DTH and digital cable platforms in SD as well as 1080p HD format with Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
As reported earlier, the content for the channel is being curated by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt. It will showcase a gamut of genres, ranging from drama, superheroes, comedy, fantasy, crime and thrillers to reality television with some of the world's biggest shows across dancing, cooking, magic, singing and other lifestyle interests.
Colors Infinity is being headed by Ferzad Palia, EVP, Viacom18, and head, English Entertainment. The channel will run programming seven days a week. Showcasing unprecedented scale through 2000 hours of international content, the channel will bring in the best with over 100 TV series from major studios like Warner Brothers International TV, NBC Universal, Sony Pictures Television, Twentieth Century Fox, Lionsgate, MGM, BBC and Endemol Shine.
The launch line-up has the most widely acclaimed international television series served on the platter such as 'Better Call Saul', 'The Flash', 'Orange Is The New Black', 'Fargo', 'The Big C', 'My Kitchen Rules', to name a few. Three back-to-back episodes of a new show will be aired every day of the week at 9 pm.
