Salman Khan rings in 'Bigg Boss Nau-Double Trouble'

"We will continue to be in the 'family zone' for our viewers" - Raj Nayak.

Viacom 18's Colors is all set to launch their popular reality show, Bigg Boss Nau, this time under a theme titled 'Double Trouble. In the launch event , the channel states that, 'The show is going to bring double the confusion, double the giggles, double the grins, double the trouble and double the entertainment. ...In the battle of the trouble and the double, will Salman Khan be the peacemaker or the provocateur?'

Bigg Boss Nau premieres on Colors on 11th October at 9:00 pm with subsequent episodes airing every Monday to Friday at 10:30 pm, and weekends at 9:00 pm.

Repeat sponsors for this season are Snapdeal the 'presenting sponsor', Oppo Smartphones, the 'powered by' sponsor, and Maruti Swift, the 'driven by' sponsor. Other sponsors include advertisers like Garnier Men Powerlight and CP Plus CCTV Cameras.

Among banter that included ribbing each other, Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors, and the actor spoke about the new season, and what the show meant to them. Although they refrained from sharing much about the concept, which may reportedly have couples this time. Many of the ex-contestants made an appearance, but any revelations pertaining to the new contestants were saved for the on-air audience.

Raj Nayak said, "The brand Bigg Boss today has transcended the television screens and has become a phenomenon engaging kids and families to artists and musicians, sports-stars, movie stars, fashion designers, social media mavens and even nation drivers. This is the show where stars are made. With a volley of inimitable personalities even this year, Bigg Boss Nau is going to enhance family viewing with the promise of double entertainment. We once again welcome Snapdeal and OPPO on-board as sponsors for the second season in a row along with Maruti Swift. And of course, megastar Salman Khan who has become synonymous with Bigg Boss as the host for the sixth season."

Speaking a bit about the audience, Nayak added that,"The decision to make the show suitable to family viewing has done us good, and this season too we will continue to be in the 'family zone' for our viewers".

Salman Khan said,"This season with Double Trouble being the flavour, the contestants have no choice but to double up and face the trouble, or remain disconnected and invite trouble! Bigg Boss Nau comes with the promise of unlimited and unadulterated entertainment which will create a strong bond between viewers and the contestants fuelled by fun, empathy and, sometimes, sympathy."

Mike Wang, CEO of OPPO Mobiles India reiterated that this partnership will help establish their reach across India, and give them an opportunity to connect with a wider audience, reasoning that there is no platform better that entertainment in India.

Commenting on the scale of the show, Deepak Dhar, CEO and Managing Director - Endemol India, said, "The concept of our show 'Bigg Boss' has always kept the audiences intrigued. The theme of 'Double Trouble' promises to offer double the fun and entertainment with various twists and surprises.....The production value of the show will be more enormous and the expertise of the team working on the show will leave no stone unturned to offer unlimited doze of entertainment."

Bigg Boss Nau promotions will be amplified across traditional and digital mediums with various activities on social media platforms during different phases of the show.

There is also a specially created Facebook app which reveals 'Who's your double trouble partner?' With Twitter and Facebook prompts, Vine Videos, Twitter Mirror and Periscope updates as the contestants step inside the Bigg Boss house, the launch outreach aims to create conversations around Bigg Boss Nau. Post launch, some of the digital initiatives include polling cards, cartoons and real-time updates on Whatsapp groups and Snapchat.

Throughout the course of the season, a live feed, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes content and uncensored updates plan to keep viewers engaged. On the marketing front, the channel has planned an integrated 360-degree campaign via different mediums such as print, channels, and OOH among others.
