NEW DELHI, July 06

MantraOnline has awarded its Internet access account to Chaitra Leo Burnett (CLB), Delhi, while Percept Advertising, Delhi, has won the company's portal account, mantraonline.com.

The Internet access account, which was extensively advertised last year (it had an ad spend of Rs 7 crore), has moved from Rediffusion-DY&R, Delhi. The portal account, on the other hand, is being advertised for the first time.

MantraOnline is on an expansion spree, and is extending its Net access service to cover Chennai, Calcutta, Pune and Hyderabad. Earlier, the company's service was limited to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. "We are in the process of consolidation," says Atul Kunwar, CEO, MantraOnline.

On being asked about the account movements, Kunwar said, "We are constantly evolving our strategy, and this is in keeping with our needs." Both Percept and CLB had been invited for a pitch "along with many other agencies". The pitch involved both strategy and creative presentations.

The size of the accounts is not available, for, as Kunwar puts it, "It depends on what needs arise." Work on the accounts have begun, and "some of the advertising has already started happening," says Kunwar.
