Online marketplace ShopClues has announced the appointment of Varun Jha as senior director, marketing. Jha joins ShopClues from PayU India where he was the head of marketing. In his new role, he will work with Nitin Agarwal, AVP, marketing, ShopClues, to oversee the marketing strategy across channels covering online, offline, mobile and strategic alliance partnerships.

Jha has held various marketing appointments in multinational organisations like Cummins Inc. (a Fortune 500 company) and Micro-Star International. He has industry experience in spheres such as consumer electronics, IT and e-commerce. Jha specialises in digital strategy, performance marketing and online payments. He holds a management degree from IIT Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University.
