ShopClues appoints Varun Jha as senior director, marketing

Jha joins ShopClues from PayU India where he was the head of marketing.

Online marketplace ShopClues has announced the appointment of Varun Jha as senior director, marketing. Jha joins ShopClues from PayU India where he was the head of marketing. In his new role, he will work with Nitin Agarwal, AVP, marketing, ShopClues, to oversee the marketing strategy across channels covering online, offline, mobile and strategic alliance partnerships.

Jha has held various marketing appointments in multinational organisations like Cummins Inc. (a Fortune 500 company) and Micro-Star International. He has industry experience in spheres such as consumer electronics, IT and e-commerce. Jha specialises in digital strategy, performance marketing and online payments. He holds a management degree from IIT Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Mumbai University.

Founded in July 2011, online marketplace ShopClues claims to have more than 60 million monthly visitors, 2.5 crore listed products and 2,50,000 plus merchants. The company supplies products to over 25,000 cities across India. Based in Gurgaon, ShopClues is an Indian subsidiary of Clues Network Inc.
