Driven by this thought, the online travel portal and holidays recommendation engine has, in association with Happy Creative Services, has come up with a TV as well as print campaign titled Holiday Better. Travel aficionados can use the portal to write reviews, upload pictures and videos, and provide time-saving advice to those within the community. The HolidayIQ app claims to have had a million downloads on its Google Play Store alone!

In other words, the campaign is designed to educate the Indian traveller about the advantages of planning trips using reviews and experiences of fellow travellers.

Driven by such traveller insights, the television commercial, created by Happy Creative Services has been on air since November 20. The film showcases a series of destinations and captures moments of discovery, jubilation and surprise brought by the uniqueness of a place. It drives home the fact that HolidayIQ is a community of travellers, where one can rely on real people who have already been to those places and give other travellers advice and feedback.

The portal has also used quirky print ads to promote various places like Rajasthan, Bandipur, Goa, Ladakh and Kerala. It will also release outdoor and digital ads shortly.

Commenting on the campaign, Hari Nair, founder and CEO, HolidayIQ, says, "We are excited to launch our TVC as this is a major milestone in our journey. At HolidayIQ, our focus has always been on empowering people with information to help plan their holiday better and discover new places through reviews, photos, and now even videos. The campaign reiterates the fact that when people connect, travel can be become a collection of brilliant memories and experiences, and avoid pain points wherever possible."

Nair further adds, "The campaign also showcases the success of the app, and how its user-friendliness makes travellers happy to contribute through reviews, made richer by the sharing of experiences by fellow travellers. This Pay it Forward behaviour is what has made HolidayIQ what it is today and the campaign is a big thank you to all those who continue to be a part of this amazing journey."

"Travel, today, has become an increasingly social and community-driven activity. Information and experiences travellers share as reviews serve as an inspiration and a resource for tips to a very large audience. HolidayIQ, is already India's largest travel community and we are on our way to build India's most engaged travel community", says Diptakirti Chaudhuri, CMO, HolidayIQ.com.
