Sunil Shetty joins Contract Advertising as senior VP and head, strategic planning, Mumbai

Contract Advertising has roped in Sunil Shetty as senior vice-president and head, strategic planning, Mumbai. He joins Contract Advertising from FCB, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he worked as strategic planning director.

Announcing his appointment, Rohit Srivastava, chief strategy officer, Contract Advertising, says, "Having been on the client's side, Shetty brings with him a larger marketing and business perspective, which will be an asset as we plan forward towards growth strategies for our clients and their brands. His wide exposure to markets beyond India ensures a fresh, outside-in thinking that we are excited about tapping into, as we forge new forms of communication and engagement to reflect the changing realities of the consumer and media landscape."

Shetty has over 14 years of experience in marketing and communications which includes having led the planning function across offices in India and South East Asia, in an individual capacity, as well as a team leader. Prior to his role as strategic planning director at FCB, Kuala Lumpur, Shetty was head of planning for FCB Ulka, Mumbai. He has also had stints at Ogilvy and RK Swamy BBDO, and has worked with Philips Lighting and ICICI Securities in the past.

Contract, a member of the J Walter Thompson/WPP network (NASDAQ:WPPGY), is an integrated and independent communications company that specialises in the four practices of advertising, consulting, design, and digital.
