It will host curated video content across various genres on this new platform.

The Over-The-Top (OTT) content provider YuppTV, has launched a marketplace for video content called YuppTV Bazaar. With the launch of this new venture, YuppTV will now host good quality video content across genres such as education, short films, web series and trailers.

The new venture will help independent video content creators, who want to showcase their videos on a trusted platform but often find it tough to market their content through traditional video-sharing portals, satellite and DTH platforms. They can reach out to audiences through devices such as Smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and PCs easily with the help of this new platform.

Commenting on the launch, Uday Reddy, founder and CEO, YuppTV, says that with the proliferation of unregulated video content on the digital platform, content monetisation and visibility is a prime concern for premium video content creators who often find their content being lost in a deluge of casual user-generated content.

"YuppTV Bazaar is, therefore, being launched as a solution that will overcome the traditional roadblocks associated with free-for-all video sharing platforms. We are confident that this development will be a major success and will empower content developers with the perfect medium to share and monetise their offerings," says Reddy.

YuppTV was founded in 2006 with the objective to make Indian television channels accessible to Indians living anywhere in the world. YuppTV currently offers more than 200 Indian TV channels in 12 languages which includes more than 5,000 movies and 100 TV shows.
