Commenting on the appointment, Pillai says, "To have worked with P&G India has been a hugely enriching experience and I am excited that I can take this learning forward to other countries within the MediaCom network. I am sure that this will prove mutually beneficial for both P&G and MediaCom. The IMEA markets are under the lens of every global company, and I am confident that MediaCom and P&G can work together to successfully enhance the P&G business in the region."

Debraj Tripathy, managing director, MediaCom India, comments, "Pillai is an outstanding client manager. His understanding of the businesses of the clients and their requirements has helped MediaCom deliver immense value to P&G. I am happy and glad that he will continue to be closely involved with the P&G business in India. We could not have found a more suitable and deserving candidate than him for the IMEA lead role on P&G. I wish him the very best."

Nihar Das, who is MediaCom's global P&G business leader, says, "Pillai is an excellent leader of people and businesses. He is a man without any resource myopia -- a quality that a resource-challenged IMEA region is going to benefit from. We are excited at the prospect of continuing to create superior value to P&G in IMEA under his leadership. This is yet another testimony for the high quality of MediaCom P&G India team, where the India leader has taken on a wider network role."

MediaCom India, a joint venture between Sam Balsara and GroupM, is a content and connections agency, which works on behalf of its clients to leverage the entire system of communications for brands, across paid, owned and earned channels.
