Cashing in on the popularity of the American Super Bowl, South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer Hyundai has released a hilarious commercial for Hyundai Genesis during the event. The ad features Hyundai's car finder app, which will lead you to your car through your phone's GPS in the event of it being stolen, or even better, help locate it in the gigantic parking lot.
But for comedian Kevin Hart, the feature has a different use. In the humorous spot, Hart lends his Hyundai Genesis equipped with a Blue Link Car Finder feature, to his daughter's date so that he (Hart) can track the couple's whereabouts throughout the night.
An arm around her at the movies? Denied! A hug after winning her a stuffed animal at the carnival? Denied! A make-out session at the edge of a romantic lookout spot? DEFINITELY DENIED! This is exactly how Hart destroys his daughter's first date.
The ad, which was aired right before the kick-off of Super Bowl 50 on CBS, was the winner of USA Today's annual poll of favourite Super Bowl spots. It scored an average of 6.91 in the survey recognised as the leading indicator of Super Bowl spot popularity. The results are based on the opinions of 19,000 panelists who registered for the survey in which they rate each ad out of 10.
The video has garnered more than 14 million views on Youtube currently.
