A Pakistani hero, an Indian heroine, and a milk brand
Actors Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan promote milk brand Tarang. Here's the interesting bit - this is a Pakistani ad film.
India and Pakistan -two estranged lands with people who come together often for cricket and movies - have found another way to keep their brotherhood thriving amidst various confrontations. This time they come together in an ad for the Pakistani milk brand Tarang.
Recreating the magic of the 2014 Bollywood rom-com Khoobsurat, better known as Disney's Khoobsurat, Indian actor Sonam Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan are seen in the ad with Kapoor playing Cinderella, and Khan as the dapper prince. As the clock strikes the midnight hour, Cinderella (played by Kapoor) turns around to leave, and the prince (played by Khan) proposes to have a cup of tea made with Tarang Milk to 'capture the moment'.
The lyrical voiceover accompanying the ad ends with the milk brand's proposition of being the perfect partner for tea, due to its perfect consistency.
Kapoor and Khan had earlier played the lead roles in the Hindi movie Khoobsurat, which also marked the Pakistani actor's debut in Bollywood.
