Debarpita Banerjee joins FCB Ulka as president, North and East

FCB Ulka Advertising has announced the appointment of Debarpita Banerjee as president, North and East. In her new role, she will operate from the agency's Delhi office and work towards business development for the agency across these two regions in India. In addition to this, she will also head the soon-to-be launched branded content division of FCB India, a part of the FCB Ulka Group.

Prior to joining FCB Ulka, Banerjee has worked as global marketing and brand consultant, handling a portfolio of channels at Fox International Channels and Culture Machine, a YouTube content company. She comes on board FCB Ulka with 19 years of experience in advertising and content marketing. She started her career with BBDO Worldwide as an account executive and moved to Leo Burnett as associate account director which was followed by her stint as vice-president and client services director at JWT.

Commenting on the appointment, Rohit Ohri, Group chairman and CEO, FCB India, says, "I am confident that (Debarpita) Banerjee will bring to the FCB Ulka Delhi operation the dynamic leadership that it needs. With her multi-faceted experience, she has an extraordinary ability to think 'integrated' which is a key skill for new age leadership in the communications business. Her mandate is also to open up markets beyond the NCR and in the East, which will be an integral part of our growth strategy at FCB Ulka."
