Leading creative director Sabyasachi Sengupta aka Zap, has been appointed as national chief of films and content, McCann Worldgroup India. He will be based in the agency's Delhi office and will oversee both divisions -- films and content -- on a national level. His appointment is effective from July 2016.
Commenting on the announcement, Prasoon Joshi, CEO and chief creative officer, McCann India and chairman, Asia-Pacific, comments, "Zap is from a rare breed of professionals who have integrity and unmatchable work ethics. He's an exceptional creative mind, who has explored multiple disciplines of advertising. He will add another dimension to McCann's client offerings, especially in today's complex media world where the need for such layered talent is high."

Sengupta began his career in Delhi two decades ago, working with agencies like JWT and Ogilvy & Mather. He has created some pretty famous work such as Pepsi - Nothing official about it, adidas, Kit Kat - Have a break, and Seagram's -100 Pipers. He also went on to direct for brands such as Nescafe, Saffola, Vaseline, Maggi, Bajaj, CaratLane, and Stayfree.
