HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company has awarded its social media duties to Social Kinnect, a Mumbai-based full service digital agency. The mandate was won through a multi-agency pitch.
Social Kinnect will handle the company's social media activities, creative campaigns, digital videos, as well as strengthen its existing media-buying portfolio.
Commenting on the new campaign, Shefali Khalsa, senior manager, marketing and corporate communications, HDFC ERGO, says, "At HDFC ERGO, we have a clear focus on digital strategy underlining social media marketing. With multi-dimensional and omni-product campaigns, we have been quite rampant on social media platforms. To augment our reach and rattle up the roadmap with the current year's brand strategy, we are glad to have Social Kinnect on board."
The agency has also brought a fresh approach to the brand's existing tagline 'Take it Easy', to give insurance a welcome twist, with a fun take on life.
"We are confident that the young talent and energies of the agency will bring a new wave and help us accentuate our brand's message 'Take it easy'," says Khalsa.
The new communication, across all platforms by the agency, kicked off on July 8. Speaking about the account win, Rohan Mehta, CEO, Social Kinnect, says, "We are excited to work with HDFC ERGO, and look forward to execute some exciting work together."
He further adds, "HDFC ERGO will help us gain a better insight into the general insurance space, and strengthen our portfolio in the BFSI segment."
HDFC ERGO is a joint venture between HDFC and ERGO International AG.
