Rahul Vengalil quits Isobar to start his own venture

Rahul Vengalil, business head – South, Isobar India, has quit the agency to start his own venture. He was with the agency for five years; he joined in November 2011.

Vengalil joined Isobar as the first employee in South and set up a team from scratch. Today, Isobar South has over 70 employees across media and creative services including social media and technology and works with some large clients like Myntra Fashion Brands, Acer, AirAsia, Wrangler, etc. winning multiple awards along the way.

Talking to afaqs! about his exit Vengalil says, "It was a great journey for me with Isobar. I have learnt a lot in the past five years, the greatest ones being the importance of collaboration and agility. I wish them all the best for the rest of the journey."

He adds, "I have decided to take a step back in digital marketing and relook at the way it is being executed today. There are a lot of grey areas or leakages that can be fixed using technology, but to do that I need to put on a different hat. In my new role, I would be working closely with brands and agencies to bring in transparency, accountability and efficiency with the use of data and technology. I will share more details soon though."
