#SelfieLovers Turn Party Reporters

New Year's Eve is the time to celebrate and everyone likes to capture the special moments in a good selfie. Mobile brand Gionee capitalized on this very insight with a New Year campaign for it's selfie flash phone, the Gionee S6s.

The brand asked #SelfieLovers, people who love capturing every moment in selfies, to report the sequence of events at their New Year parties through selfies. The popular smartphone brand, synonymous with 'selfies', drew lots of user-generated content as a result.

The activity, which was carried across Facebook, Twitter & Instagram, received entries from several #SelfieLovers from various cities.

Happening party-goers & celebrities like Karishma Tanna, Anusha Dandekar, Urvashi Rautela tweeted their party selfies shot with the Selfie Phone Gionee S6s.

As the celebs began posting the selfies, the trend of #PartyReporters began to catch on. The word spread soon and Twitter was flooded with more such pictures during the New Year celebrations. Every selfie lover wanted to be a party reporter and everyone began posting selfies & reporting live from their respective New Year parties.
