How the iconic car brand communicated with Indians through the years.

As French auto giant Peugeot (part of the PSA group), takes over Hindustan Motors' brand Ambassador, speculations are rife about the revival of the fate of India's heritage car brand. Meanwhile, here's a look at Ambassador's ads through the year.

The list begins with an irony - an old (2002) ad by Peugeot in which an Indian mechanic redesigns his Ambassador to look like the Peugeot 206 in a not-so-appropriate manner. Titled 'The Sculptor', the ad was conceptualised by Euro RSCG Milan.
