MG ‘Ambi' Parameswaran, executive director, FCB-Ulka Advertising, has been elected as the new president of The Advertising Club Bombay. Parameswaran, whose tenure starts after the AGM scheduled for June 27, would be taking charge from outgoing president Pradeep Guha (of The Times Group). For the record, Parameswaran is currently the joint secretary of the Bombay Ad Club, and is also the chairperson of the Ad Club's programming committee.

All the candidates were elected to their respective posts unopposed.

In a related move, a new managing committee at the Ad Club has been formed. The new committee's constitution is as follows: Bhaskar Das (of The Times Group), Bal Palekar (of Eureka Forbes), Rohit Adya (of the Hindustan Times), Umesh Shrikhande (of Euro RSCG India), Nishi Suri (of O&M India) and outgoing president, Guha.
