Internet daddies call this ad sexist

Are dads over-reacting or does the ad paint them in 'absentee light'?

Usually, and with good reason, it's women who lament about sexist ads. This time, it's the other way around.

Daddies are up in arms over a recent ad film released by American fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A, because, they claim, the ad implies they have absolutely no role to play in child care and stereotypes them as the-parent-who-is-never-around.

The video captures the chaos that mommies endure while getting the kids ready for school in the morning. As these American moms, in the video, go about their chores, chasing after their frisky kids from room to room, a gloved butler arrives at their door with branded breakfast and the promise of a much needed break.

Fathers are conspicuous by their absence in the ad, no doubt.

Why are dads not shown as part of the morning get-the-kids-ready-for-school mania? That's the question angry fathers, mostly Westerners, have been tossing up on social media over the past few days.

Is the online protest on part of offended dads out there warranted? While it does appear as though the product targets single moms, can the video be labeled sexist?
