Starcom is media AOR for Himalaya Healthcare

The account estimated to be upwards of Rs 20 crores, was earlier handled by Maxus

Starcom Bangalore has bagged the media duties for Himalaya Healthcare, a key herbal healthcare company. The size of the business could not be ascertained from neither the agency nor the client, but sources estimate it to be in the region of Rs 18- 21 crores.

The incumbent agency was Maxus. There was no official pitch held for the business and it is learnt that Starcom shared their credentials with the Himalaya Healthcare and also presented to them their ideas and plans for the brand, after which Himalaya made a decision.

Speaking on Starcom’s plans for Himalaya’s bouquet of brands, Sindhuja Rai, head of Starcom, Bangalore, says, “Our mandate will be to define and communicate the personalities of brand Himalaya and to do this we will implement strategic, creative and targeted media planning, combined with research and extensive consumer knowledge.”

Subrata Datta, head of Consumer Division Products, Himalaya Healthcare believes that Starcom’s knowledge base and innovative approach towards media and consumer outreach will benefit the brand immensely.

The creative duties for Himalaya are handled by Orchard and Contract.
