Kishore Jhala has been promoted as chief operating officer (COO) of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the brand that owns Amul. He was earlier chief general manager at GCMMF. Jhala joined GCMMF in 1986 as product manager and has assumed various responsibilities in sales and marketing in the organisation over the last 30 years.
Announcing his elevation, R S Sodhi, managing director, GCMMF, says, "Jhala has a rich experience of three decades within the organisation. GCMMF aims to double its current turnover of Rs 25,000 crore by 2020 and Jhala's new role in the organisation will help contribute towards that goal."
